Benisha has always loved children. She spent many years volunteering at her local church’s children’s nursery. She has a special gift for caring for young children. Benisha came to a place to grow Montessori as a lab student and quickly realized this was where she needed to be. She was captivated by the Montessori philosophy. Benisha majored in Child Development at the College of the Sequoias and received her Associate of Arts in May 2021. When Benisha was first hired, she worked diligently to learn all aspects of the care required at a place to grow Montessori. Benisha started as a support staff in 2020. Then, she was promoted to assistant teacher. Finally, she took the leap, did her toddler Montessori training at Central California Montessori Education, and became a teacher intern. In June of 2022, Benisha completed her internship and has been an outstanding leader on our toddler team ever since.
Benisha comes to work with a smile, even on the most challenging days, as she feels this is the most rewarding job she has ever worked. Benisha is happily married and looking forward to having her own children in the future. But for now, she sees her students as her own and it shows.
