Ms. Blair

Director

Blair is the founding director for a place to grow Montessori and worked for Greenhouse Montessori from 1996 to 2005. In 1996 Blair got married and found Montessori. Nina and Blair remember fondly their first meeting. There was an instant connection and comfort and they both knew they would work together. Once Blair started work at Greenhouse Montessori she took the first chance she got to enrolled in the Primary teacher training program. She received her AMS Montessori teacher credential for the primary age in June of 1998 from the Montessori Teacher Education Center-San Francisco Bay Area. Several years later after starting a family Blair found she wanted to know more about the younger ages. She enrolled and completed her Infant/Toddler Credential in 2005 from North American Montessori Center. With her Toddler Credential in hand Blair left Greenhouse in 2005 to start a “mommy and me” Montessori class.

Nina and Blair decided this would be a great adventure and chose to do it together. Many years later a place to grow Montessori is a six classroom school with toddlers and primary students. They never guessed it would be such a wonderful journey. Blair and her husband Kevin have three children who all attended Greenhouse Montessori from 2 ½ through Kindergarten and her two younger children also attended a place to grow Montessori for their toddler year. Blair completed her BA in Early Childhood Education Administration in January 2019 from Ashford University. For Blair, Montessori is not just a teaching philosophy but a way to live one’s life.
