Ms. Amanda

Lead Teacher

Growing up, Amanda always had the desire to be an educator. This stemmed from her grade school teachers instilling a love for learning and helping others. After graduating from high school in 2006, she got a job working at Greenhouse Montessori. This was her first experience learning about the Montessori philosophy. She grew to love the materials in the classroom and the idea that children can teach themselves given the tools and the right environment.

In 2011, she returned home from living out of state and reconnected with Nina Clancy at Greenhouse Montessori, who encouraged her to visit a place to grow Montessori. After visiting with Blair and observing the Toddler classroom, Amanda felt that she had found “her people.” In June 2011, she received her Infant Toddler Montessori Certification from the Montessori Teacher Education Center Sunnyvale. Amanda has also received her Associates of Science in Child Development graduating with Honors. In January 2016, she and her husband ventured to San Diego where he was stationed with the United States Navy. After taking some time off, she returned to working at a Montessori school where she first became Assistant Director and then Director later that year. They enjoyed their time in San Diego, but knew once they became pregnant, they would return home to Visalia where their families were. In March 2019, they welcomed their first child and have loved all the new adventures of parenting.

Amanda is excited and happy to be back at a place to grow Montessori.
